April’s Breakfast and Coffee with Cats

After a busy month, our April date was a chance for us to relax and unwind. For this month’s date, we had brunch and then visited a cat cafe! Even though Tiffany is allergic to cats, she took Benadryl and planned this outing for us anyways because I like them. I’m truly blessed to have such a loving wife.

Money for coffee and another sweet card from Tiffany.

The food was good and a great way to start a relaxing Saturday. It was surprisingly empty for a weekend day, which was pretty nice for us. We both enjoyed the Croque Madame more than the French omelette, but the main thing today was The Cat Cafe!

This cat cafe works with the local animal shelters and fosters cats that are available for adoption. This seems like a win-win situation, as they create a comfortable space for the cats and encourage people to interact with and adopt them. We got to play with some of the cats, which was fun. Most were friendly and jumped on people’s laps for snuggles. The owner did a great job telling us about each of the cats and their personalities. We could tell that all the workers there have a passion for caring for these animals, and work hard to find them the best homes.

When we arrived, someone met us at the door to explain the process to us, which was helpful. When the cat room is full, they encourage you to order your drinks first, then hang out in the sitting area outside the cafe. We were told the wait would be 15-20 minutes, but the time went by quickly. Once you are admitted into the cat room, you can stay as long as you like [although I’m not sure if that’s still the case during peak times].

  • There are only a limited number of people allowed in with the cats at once, and it’s on a first-come-first-serve basis. For high traffic times, they do allow reservations ahead of time.
